Version of 26 August 2026. This policy explains how personal data is processed in the operation of LändleCoins.
This is a translation. The German version of this page is the legally binding one.
Personal data is processed in accordance with the data protection rules applicable to LändleCoins, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Liechtenstein data protection law as well as, where applicable to the processing concerned, Swiss data protection law.
The organisation responsible for processing personal data in connection with LändleCoins is:
Zeiler Solutions GmbH in Gründung Mälsner Dorf 12 9496 Balzers Fürstentum Liechtenstein Postanschrift für Anfragen: Landstrasse 20, Postfach 418, 9496 Balzers E-Mail: stefan.zeiler@laendlecoins.li
Where individual service providers process data under their own data protection responsibility, in particular Stripe for the settlement of the platform fee, their data protection information applies in addition.
Depending on how LändleCoins are used, we process different categories of personal data.
This includes, in particular, name, email address, telephone number, user account information, date of birth where applicable, address as well as technical account and login details. For commercial sellers we additionally process the company details they have provided, in particular the company or business name, the business address, business contact details and, where available, register, company or VAT details.
For purchases and sales we process in particular delivery addresses, item information, bids, orders, sales data, dispatch status, voluntarily provided tracking numbers, the payment status recorded on the platform, platform fees and information about refunds or disputes. The purchase price itself is settled directly between buyer and seller through their banks; LändleCoins sees neither bank statements nor incoming payments, only what the parties record on the order page.
These include, in particular, advertisement texts, product features, images, reviews, as well as communications or documents submitted in connection with support enquiries or disputes.
For the verification under §3 of the Terms and Conditions we process first name, surname, date of birth, telephone number and residential address, the sending and redemption of the activation code, and the status of the check. LändleCoins carries out the verification itself; no external provider is involved.
The copy of the identity document arrives either by post or by email and is only viewed in order to check the personal details. A paper copy is neither scanned nor stored. After the check a paper copy is destroyed and a copy received by email is deleted together with the message; only the time of arrival, the result of the check and the time of destruction or deletion are recorded.
Anyone who wishes to sell provides an IBAN, the account holder, the bank country and the bank name. These details are required to settle payment for orders involving shipping. For such an order, the IBAN and account holder required for the transfer are shown to the buyer on the order page. Where collection has been agreed, the bank details are not shown to the buyer; payment is as a rule made in cash on handover. Other users do not see the bank details.
For the platform fee we process the fees incurred and paid, due dates, receipt numbers, the payment status at Stripe as well as any credits and refunds.
When you visit the website, the following data in particular may be processed: your IP address, the time of access, the pages or resources accessed, browser and device information, and security-related server and error logs.
We only process personal data where there is a legal basis for doing so under data protection law.
We rely on this, in particular, for registration and account management, facilitating purchases, bids and sales, displaying transactions, dispatch status and ratings, as well as handling support enquiries, insofar as these are necessary for the performance of the user relationship.
Personal data may be processed or stored to the extent necessary to comply with legal obligations, in particular commercial, tax, anti-money laundering, payment or regulatory requirements, insofar as these apply to LändleCoins or a service provider involved.
We process data to the extent that this is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests and provided that there are no overriding interests of the data subject that would prevent this.
Where we obtain consent for a specific processing operation, the processing is carried out on that basis.
Consent may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.
The purchase price flows directly between buyer and seller. Where the item is shipped, the buyer pays the total amount stated on the order page by bank transfer directly to the seller. Where the item is collected, payment is as a rule made in cash on handover. LändleCoins is not involved in any of these payments of the purchase price and receives no account data or incoming payments from any bank; the platform documents only the payment status reported or confirmed by the parties.
For an order involving shipping, the seller's bank details required for the specific payment, with IBAN and account holder, are shown to the buyer on the order page. Where the item is collected, no bank details are shown. The buyer's delivery address is shown to the seller only in the case of shipping and at the point provided for in the order process. Where the item is collected, only the details required for contact and handover are made available.
We use Stripe for payment of the platform fee, by card or TWINT. Stripe handles only this fee payment and is not involved in the purchase price.
The amount due, the reference of the fee invoice and the seller's account identifier on the platform are transmitted for this purpose. Card numbers and other payment details are entered by the payer at Stripe; LändleCoins neither sees nor stores them. What comes back is the payment status, the payment method and the payment reference.
The contracting party is Stripe Payments Europe, Limited, based in Ireland. Within the Stripe group, processing may also take place through companies in the United States. Stripe's own data protection terms apply in addition.
We use external service providers for the technical operation of the platform. Where these providers process personal data on our behalf, they are bound by the requirements of data protection legislation.
Vercel is used for the deployment, delivery and technical operation of the website. Due to Vercel’s global infrastructure, technical data may be processed via international networks and data centres. Depending on the configuration used, this may also involve data transfers outside the EEA.
Supabase is used for database, authentication and storage functions. The primary project data of LändleCoins is stored in the region selected for the production project, Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Backups, logs, support processes or subcontractors may involve additional processing locations.
DeepL can be used for the automatic translation of advertisement texts. In principle, only the advertisement texts intended for translation are transmitted; account, payment or identity details are not specifically sent. According to DeepL, when using a suitable paid DeepL API service, the texts submitted are not stored permanently or used to train the models.
Inngest controls the time-driven processes of the platform, such as closing expired auctions, tracking deadlines and triggering notifications. The identifiers of the auctions, orders and accounts concerned and the reason for the process are transmitted, but not content such as addresses or bank details. Inngest is based in the United States.
Sending and receiving our e-mails runs through Infomaniak in Switzerland. Notifications to the operator also arrive in this mailbox, for example in the event of a dispute or an expired payment period. Depending on the occasion, such notifications contain names, order numbers, delivery addresses, dates of birth or the seller's bank details, because the operator could not otherwise clarify the case. They remain in the mailbox for as long as this is necessary for processing and for any evidence.
Anyone who allows notifications on their device thereby registers a technical address of their browser. The notification itself is delivered through the service of the respective browser manufacturer, that is, depending on the device, through Google, Apple, Mozilla or Microsoft. These services receive the technical address and the encrypted content of the notification. Consent can be withdrawn at any time in the account or in the browser settings.
Personal data will only be disclosed to the extent that this is necessary for the purposes stated or required by law.
Liechtenstein is part of the European Economic Area. Where personal data is transferred to countries outside the EEA, this is done only in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.
In the case of service providers with their registered office or infrastructure outside the EEA, data transfers may, where necessary, be based in particular on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
Due to global hosting and network infrastructures, processing outside the EEA cannot be ruled out in general, in particular in the case of Vercel. The same applies to Inngest, based in the United States, and, within the Stripe group, to the companies outside Ireland.
Switzerland, where Infomaniak is based, is regarded as a country with an adequate level of data protection on the basis of an adequacy decision of the European Commission.
As things stand, LändleCoins uses only technically necessary cookies or similar storage technologies that are required for login, session security, language selection or other technically necessary functions.
These technologies are not used for personalised advertising or behavioural advertising tracking.
Should any analytics, marketing or other non-essential technologies be used in future, this privacy policy will be amended accordingly and, where necessary, consent will be sought prior to their use.
We only retain personal data for as long as is necessary for the relevant purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. The specific duration depends on the category of data and the relevant process.
Certain details are required in order to open a user account and use the platform. Without the necessary account and contact details, LändleCoins cannot provide a user account.
Since the verification under §3 of the Terms and Conditions is a precondition for buying, bidding and selling, these functions cannot be used without the information required for it, the activation code from the letter and the copy of the identity document. Anyone who wishes to sell must additionally provide bank details; without them the buyer cannot transfer the purchase price.
Optional information is clearly marked as such or is not strictly necessary for the function in question. For example, entering a tracking number when marking an item as dispatched is optional.
In accordance with the statutory requirements, data subjects are entitled, in particular, to the following rights:
Enquiries can be sent to stefan.zeiler@laendlecoins.li. To prevent unauthorised access to information, we may request suitable proof of identity.
For LändleCoins, the Data Protection Authority of the Principality of Liechtenstein is the competent data protection supervisory authority. The right to lodge a complaint with another competent supervisory authority under the GDPR remains unaffected.
Some processes on the platform run without human involvement. They are based on deadlines and fixed rules, not on an assessment of the person.
Whether these processes constitute decisions within the meaning of Art. 22 GDPR depends on the legal assessment. Irrespective of that, anyone affected by a block or a marking may contact stefan.zeiler@laendlecoins.li. The operator will then review the case manually, and the decision can be reversed.
No assessment or classification of persons based on their behaviour, that is, no profiling in the data protection sense, takes place.
LändleCoins takes appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, unauthorised access and unauthorised alteration.
Data transmitted via the website is encrypted. Passwords are not stored in plain text, but are protected using appropriate authentication and hashing methods. Access rights are restricted to those individuals and systems that require them to carry out their duties.
Despite appropriate security measures, it is not possible to guarantee absolute protection against all risks when data is transmitted over the internet.
When users contact LändleCoins by email, via the contact form or through a support function, we process the contact details provided and the content of the enquiry in order to deal with the matter.
The legal basis depends on the content of the enquiry. Enquiries relating to contracts are based, in particular, on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR; other support and security matters may be based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.
We will update this privacy policy if there are changes to our data processing activities, the services we use or the legal requirements.
The version published on LändleCoins at any given time shall prevail. Registered users may also be notified of any significant changes in an appropriate manner.
